How pricing works
Free trial
One free trial per user: your first strategy runs free for 14 days, counted from the moment it is confirmed started - not from connecting your exchange, and not again for each strategy. No card, no upfront cost.
Performance-based
After the trial, a fee applies only to fee-eligible profit (net realized profit above your high-water mark) - 30% in USDT or 20% in $BRAIN. No profit, no fee.
Non-custodial
Your funds stay on your exchange the entire time. You can revoke access whenever you choose.
How the fee is calculated
- What counts as profit
- Your result is the net realized PnL of the futures account you connect to Brain: closed positions, after exchange trading fees and funding. Open positions count once they are closed. All futures trading on that account counts, so use an account dedicated to Brain.
- Deposits and withdrawals
- Deposits, withdrawals and transfers are not profit or loss and do not change your result.
- High-water mark
- Brain keeps a running total of your result since you started and remembers its highest level - the high-water mark. The fee applies only to the part of the total above that mark, so earlier losses are recovered first and the same profit is never charged twice.
- Free trial
- One 14-day trial per user. It starts when your first strategy is confirmed started - not when you connect an exchange - and is not repeated per strategy. Profit made during the trial is not charged; it only raises the high-water mark.
- No profit, no fee
- If fee-eligible profit for a period is zero or less, the service fee is $0.
- When and in what currency
- A fee statement is issued at the end of each billing period - every 30 days after the trial. The fee is 30% of fee-eligible profit when paid in USDT, or 20% when paid in $BRAIN at the $BRAIN price at the time of payment. Payment is due within 7 days.
- If a statement is not paid
- The service is suspended: the strategy is stopped and Brain closes its open positions (if the exchange rejects a close, Brain retries and notifies you to close it yourself), and activation stays blocked until the statement is paid. Paying restores the service; the strategy is not restarted automatically.
Example: +$200 in the first period - fee on $200 ($60 in USDT or $40 in $BRAIN). −$100 in the next period - $0. +$150 in the third - the total is back at $250, which is $50 above the $200 mark, so the fee is on $50 ($15 in USDT or $10 in $BRAIN).
